EMERGENCY CASES
(death cases, arrest, accident etc.)
CONSULAR DEPARTMENT:
- receives from diplomatic missions and Ukraine's consular posts
abroad an information about the extraordinary events concerning
natural and legal persons of Ukraine abroad and informs about
it all those concerned in Ukraine.
For example, in case of Ukrainian citizen's death
abroad, the closest diplomatic mission or consular post of Ukraine
should be informed thereof. On receiving such a notice, Ukraine's
consul takes the necessary measures provided for by Ukraine's Consular
Charter;
For example, in case of a foreign citizen's death
in Ukraine, the Consular Department of the MFA of Ukraine
should be informed thereof. On receiving this notice, the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs should take necessary measures.
